Hsinchu Exhibition Area is the centerpiece of the International Trade Fair, exhibited at the Guangfu Campus of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. The theme is“Bamboo's Three Ways“: Hsinchu X Yang Mingjiao, wants to carve out the endless possibilities of the future of bamboo through the historical roots (Chengshan) of Hsinchu City and the innovation represented by Yang Ming Chao Building (after opening).
The bamboo industry was once an integral part of Taiwan's culture and is deeply rooted in everyday life, but the rise of modern industry has led to a decline in professional talent and the bamboo industry is gradually shrinking. But with the advent of net-zero emissions, injecting fresh water into the fallen bamboo industry shows its huge potential for growth again.

We invite five well-known domestic and foreign designers to visit the site at Yangmingjiao Daikangfu Campus to tailor bamboo constructions to suit the practical, cultural, aesthetic, and weather conditions and coexistence with the natural environment. The desire to explore the possibilities of bamboo as an installation art through “island-shaped bamboo” becomes a space for people to relax and talk and truly feel the charm of natural bamboo.
